TLF website says that in addition to the permanent collection: "Key works available for suitable shows can also be obtained from private collectors."So the Ben Uri exhibition is an example of what TLF can organise by borrowing paintings from these private collections.

That's good to hear as the Ben Uri Self Portraits show was wonderful.

Now ducky, you do surprise me: the entire legacy left to the foundation?

You were obviously abroad in jojoland for the massive Sothebys and Bearnes (twice) estate sales.Tell us what would you like to see? Many moons ago (probably before your interest here) there was a poll to vote on everyone's top 10 Lenkiewiczs. What would yours have been Jojo? Let's hear Jojo's wish list for an exhibition.

This much I know: Robert preffered his work to be seen in context with other pieces, so I would have liked the foundation to have tried to secure as much of a project as possible. Doesn't really matter which, except perhaps to avoid the Local Education one! I understand that someone may have thought the notebooks more valuable to hang on to, certainly they offer the potentiasal of being turned into books as was done with the Mary notebook which is a beautiful object except for the fact that so much of Roberet's writing is illegible. Anyway doesn't really matter anymore does it, I just found the exhibition, which I revisited today, depressing, especially as the most interesting elements in it were those notebooks, which encased in glass just teased us with a single open page when I suspect like most people, I wanted to get my hands on them and explore theeir hidden depths!

What do you find so depressing about Robert's paintings Jojo? And so where's your list of favourites if they're not on show?

Whilst Jojo will no doubt answer this for himself, I took his response to mean that the general size of the exhibition and limited number of pieces on display given Robert's prodigious output were the depressing factors.

...I presume TLF are going to be seeking to buy more paintings now that they have inherited a large sum of money, instead of relying on borrowing them from private owners? What are TLF plans for the money? They say a gallery is going to open by the end of this year, but few specifics are mentioned (perhaps another statement/update on that front if they are reading, as the last one was a year ago?).

Have you got some inside information gbl as today's home page says the estate is still not settled?

…No, but going by what I read last year just after the Westpoint sale, there was rather a large profit – hence the reason why TLF have funds to obtain a premises etc.

A musical based on the life of the late reality TV star Jade Goody is on the way.The project is being managed by her former business partner Danny Hayward, with details of open auditions set to be released within a month, reports BBC News."Her dream was as a little girl was to be in a musical," Hayward said. "So obviously when she passed away it felt fitting to do something like this."Jojo has a wealth of experience he could pass on to this project.
