Hi All,Great website! Just registered. 1st post!I was wondering if someone may be able to give me a rough valuation for a R.O.L painting i own of 'Lydia' (Lydia Corbett)? See this link ..... http://www.lenkiewicz.org/index.php?option=com_copperminevis&Itemid=111&place=displayimage&album=42&pos=61'Lydia' is oil on canvas 88 x 88cm. It was painted by R.O.L under project 20, Addictive Behaviour (in her case, the addiction was religion) The painting is mounted in it's original frame. When i bought the painting at Bearnes auction at Westpoint in 2004, it was solely described as 'Lydia, oil on canvas'. However, after some research, i discovered that Lydia's full name is Lydia Corbett.Lydia Corbett used to be called Sylvette David. Some of you may or may not know that Sylvette David was once briefly involved with a Señor Pablo Picasso. He did over 30 pieced using Sylvette as the subject, and hence she is now known as 'The girl with the ponytail'I managed to trace Lydia to a village near Plymouth, and she kindly allowed me to visit her with my painting. I had a wonderful afternoon with her talking about Picasso and Robert Lenkiewicz. Before i left, she kindly signed my painting as a momento over our visit.Anyway, that's bored you lot. Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance.DGdarren@bursia.co.uk
