I am looking for help with a valuation of a 2ftx3ft oil on board portrait. The painting is of Adrian Matthews (Plymouth transvestie prostitute) and forms part of "Project 16".The painting was purchased by my mother approx 5 yrs ago, directly from Lenkiewicz. He signed the back of the painting twice and wrote a brief summary about the subject. The painting is framed and glazed as it was when it left the studio.Any info would be useful.I also have a print of "Karen standing" (signed by the model). It is one of 500 prints. I would like to know also of it's current value.

Do you happen to have a photograph of the painting? As for the print, I would suggest £250-350 in the current market. Depends to some extent on whether it is framed, and if so, the quality of the frameTo be honest, the unsigned prints can be a little difficult to sell (some might suggest that is something of an understatement), particularly at the moment when the cost of some of the more desirable prints seems to be on the decline. If you haven't already done so, you might want to take a look at the results from the recent Dreweatt Neate sale. They would appear to suggest that the market for Lenkiewicz prints isn't as healthy as it was a couple of years ago. It certainly strikes me as something of a buyers' market at the moment.
