evening all,as I thought, non of you muppets attended the private showing, pre show or sale day by the looks of it – so it’s a good job I felt it prudent to deploy the Sweeney in full during the weekend, we pulled the ‘snouts’, roughed up some ‘narks’ and are still compiling eye witness accounts of the crime. It’s clear at this stage that a number of leading gangs, factions and dealers were in operation during the 12th.250px-John_Thaw_as_Jack_Regan.jpgThe first reports to hit the incident room came in at 09:20 from Insp.Jack and Sgt.George of the flying squad. Leading members of the “Tifosi Lenkiewizie Fondazione” were spotted in a group huddle just inside the main entrance, their newest recruit, the enforcer only known by his code name “Mr.Mallett” was seen in conversation with the two broads thought to be the leading members of “Tifosi” – Jack said we should rush them on sight, he was concerned that one of the broads was packing an arsenal under her jumper – I said no way, “she’s packing a bun not a gun”. But, then the atmosphere changed as the “Somerville Gang” heads entered the arena, as expected disguised as pikeys the leaders “Mr Big” and “Mini Me” exchanged cool, respectful greetings with the “Tifosi” heads before taking up station “Mini Me” left of centre at the rear while “Mr Big” paced both flanks forming group discussions with various members of a loose coalition known by us as the “Guy Richie Extras” – (more reports on this later); Tension levels were elevated around 09:43 as the recently ousted member of the “Tifosi” and newly formed splinter faction “the Hill-Smith gang” arrived on mass, noted: no eye contact with the “Tifosi” heads as they staked out two rows to the right and rear of the arena – George spotted them first and in time honoured fashion gets to provide the code name for the new gang, so the “Hill-Billies” are now on record. Meanwhile, at the front of the building an officer called in the arrival of the “Asian Colleague” a known acquaintance of “Mr Big” and code named “Triad” – always impeccably turned out, suit top, close cut jeans, brand labels on show, expensive looking watch (fake) a stark contrast from the gipsy, scrap metal dealer garb adopted by the “Somerville Gang”.“Triad” entered from the front, briefly lingered by the bookstall operated by the “Tifosi” enforcers, before moving into the arena proper at 09:50. We considered the possibility that the bookstall was a front for information distribution; one officer moved in to investigate but discovered the stall contained nothing of significance. Back in the arena George called on his radio “spotted Wallace and Gromit” aka Mr.Walmsley and Mrs.Walmsley, the lads on the fraud desk gave them that code name, apparently she has the brains, and now a new hair do, teeth and a frock to match. At 10:01 the crime scene was cased from our observation point behind the auctioneer, looking out at the audience; the layout was as follows;“Wallace and Gromit” were to the left behind the Internet and telephone operators in a roped off section (for their own safety).“Tifosi” enforcer “Mr.Mallett” to the right, slightly back from the crowd behind the standing display – close to the front.“Tifosi” broads were placed on the left outer edge about ten rows back.“Mr Big” right flank mid way.“Mini Me” to the right, very back row.The “Hill-Billies” took two rows at the rear on the left side.“Triad” alternated left or right flank normally operating from mid way.And then the action started and may the force be with you all …

Considering CID's previous sworn statement –

I think people have a right to be pissed off at overpaying last time round, they were lead to believe that 2004 was the last chance to buy. Look at the bare faced lies from Boyce Hatton and Bearnes then! I think th majority of paintings are likely to be significantly reduced in value after this sale ... Quite devastating.

I think he's been caught lying on oath again. 10 years no remission! No-one likes a bent copper especially one with no shame! 😉

Sale results – yes, but only written in the catalogue at present. Does anyone know the story of the sale of The Bishop? I overhead some people saying that as soon as it was sold the purchaser - apparently a gallery owner from London - was offered more for it than he'd just bid. I don't know the outcome as I couldn't hear the rest of what they were saying, but I did also hear the words "Buckingham Palace", or thought I did!

CID you really need to give up.Why are you commenting on a site about original works of Robert Lenkiewicz when you can't even tell if a watch is a fake or not?Traffic warden on Sark would suit you better.

I must admit I think your piece was halarious CID. But surprised codename for the enforcer was not “The Hammer”. Wondeful observation, even if a little unkind…. funny though!

…amusing I agree, and knows the Lenkiewicz scene very well, so I wonder who CID is?? Will be interesting to hear who the "Guy Richie extras" are too!
